Dave's Dreaded London Porter Beer Log -

| 1. | Sterilized all Equipment used. |
| 2. | Started boil at 2:05PM with 7 gallons of water. |
| 3. | Added bag of grains at 7:05PM-
Heat water with grain bag to 150° and keep under 170° for 20 minutes. Dipping the grain bag like a tea bag every so often. |
| 4. | Removed bag at 170°. 2:50PM |
| 5. | Hard boil achieved at 3:20PM. Added the following - Amber Dry Malt
Extract |
| 6. | 4:05PM - Added Irish Moss Clarifier and placed Wart Chiller in boil. |
| 7. | 4:10PM - Added Cascade hop pellets for for flavor |
| 8. | 4:18PM - Added Tettnanger Hop pellets for for aroma |
| 9. | 4:20PM - Finished boil removed head from wart. |
| 10. | Temperature is over 210°. |
| 11. | Cool wart down to 60° at 5:00PM |
| 12. | Rack liquid into the primary fermenter. Splashing the liquid to inject oxygen. |
| 13. | Pitch 2 packages of Dorch Ale Yeast (dry) at 5:05PM. Let settle into liquid. |
| 14. | Mix yeast into liquid at 5:10PM. |
| 15. | Take Original Gravity hydrometer reading 1.065 |
| 16. | 5:15PM - Close lid on primary and place in the garage which is at 68° on the floor. |
| 17. | 03/22/97 3:00PM - Transferred from primary to secondary fermenter. |
| 18. | 04/05/97 2:00PM - Bottled 46 bottles of London Porter. |
| 19. | Updated 05/12/97 12:30PM -Beer is very good produced 46 bottles of beer. Beer Log Closed |
